ABOUT ANITA

I travel far and often—with my husband, on my own and with friends. For me, inspiration can come from anywhere, from travels or a good meal, and from distant lands or my neighborhood. Anita’s Feast was born after a wonderful meal around a table with my neighbors in Basel, Switzerland.
Since then, travel experiences around the world have enriched my home, my table, and life with my husband, photographer Tom Fakler. I am also museum junkie who lives my passion for active travel and cultural immersion. Wherever I go, I am always on the hunt for my next great meal!
An internationally published travel writer, I have contributed to numerous compilations of writing about food and wine, and to other blogs and websites. Food adds such a cultural dimension to travel, that it makes its way into just about every story I write.
